Monty is a 3.5 year old Corgi who experienced a serious injury while playing with the family cat. He was rushed to an emergency veterinary clinic and then to a hospital where surgery was done. He is now recovering. His owner recently wrote:
Thank you immensely for your generous support in Monty's care during our difficult time of his injury and recovery.
We just completed Monty's post-operative 6-week checkup, 1/12/2023, and the staff was very pleased with his progress. Monty has been able to regain his ability to control his bowels, urination, and to walk, sometimes run, since the terrifying date of his injury on 11/28/2022. Monty still has some weakness persisting in in his right hind leg that they suspect is either attributable to muscle weakness from his recovery or possibly persisting partial paralysis. However, they are feeling hopeful with continuous physical therapy and the resumption of his walks that this will improve with more time.
Your aid in our time of need helped relieve some of the pressure from this stressful event, allowing us to focus more on his recovery. This was a gift that gave us hope in being able to adapt and recover as a family. Thank you for your immeasurable kindness.
With our greatest of thanks,
[signed by every member of the young family]
