Veterinary Centers of America (VCA) is a consortium of veterinary hospitals with teams of highly trained individuals who are dedicated to the health and well being of pets. VCA has more than 750 neighborhood hospitals and more than 4,700 Primary Care Veterinarians who treat animals. To stay on top of the latest advances, every VCA Veterinarian completes 30 hours of continuing education a year –– more than twice the industry standard.
VCA uses a team approach to serve the needs of animals, relying on the expertise of specialists when a diagnosis requires treatment in a specific area. If a Primary Care Veterinarian needs help on a difficult case, there are Advanced Veterinarian Care Centers and board-certified specialists available to assist with a diagnosis and treatment. VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialists is the largest and most diverse specialty practice providing this type of care in the Pacific Northwest. With 12 emergency-critical care veterinarians, 20 board certified specialists across 12 disciplines, and 50 Certified Veterinary Technicians, the veterinary staff work collaboratively across multiple departments to provide the best clinical outcome possible. Specialty Departments include Cardiology, Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging, Integrative Medicine, Internal medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, and Surgery.
The 2018 Corgi Walk in the Pearl (CWP) is proud to have the following VCA hospitals as sponsors: VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialists, VCA Clackamas Animal Hospital, VCA Rock Creek Animal Hospital, VCA 12-Mile Animal Hospital, VCA Laurelhurst Animal Hospital, VCA Sandy Animal Hospital, VCA Raleigh Hills Animal Hospital, VCA Woodstock Animal Hospital, VCA Southwest Portland Animal Hospital, VCA North Portland Veterinary Hospital, and VCA West Linn Animal Hospital.
